This prediction proved true when Capirossi won the first historic race at the Catalan motorcycle Grand Prix in 2003.<\/p>\n<p>During the WDW 2004, Federico Minoli announced that production of the street version of the Desmosedici &#8211; the \u201cDesmosedici RR\u201d &#8211; would begin in 2006.<\/p>\n<p>Produced in a limited series of 1500 models, almost ten years after production was discontinued, the Desmosedici RR is one of the most sought-after collectors&#8217; bikes.<\/p>\n<p>Proudly testifying to excellent style made in Italy, the Borgo Panigale production facility is synonymous with technology, superior performance levels, as well as being a benchmark in the collective imagination of motorcyclists and enthusiasts from all over the world.<\/p>\n<p>More than 500 motorcycles will be on show at Auto e Moto d&#8217;epoca in Bologna, from the models our great-grandparents rode to those which have made history.\u00a0See you at BolognaFiere from 26<sup>th<\/sup> to 29<sup>th<\/sup> October.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Twenty years ago, in 2003, the Desmosedici made its d\u00e9but in the MotoGP championship, which Ducati had announced with pomp and circumstance back in 2001 when the project began.
