THE CONTINUITY OF ENGLISH TRADITION

The 1925 Bentley 3 Litre, the Red Crest of 1925 launches the journey through the tradition of this English Car Manufacturer. It was a racing motor car which set the world record in 1921 with a speed of 160 km/h. It was heavier than its contemporary, Bugatti, but technological innovation and its robust build ensured that it was extremely competitive. This model marked the first step in an ideal timeline which culminates with the New Continental GT. The car constitutes the third generation of the model and incorporates radical changes in its structure and mechanics. The new body and materials used have succeeded in reducing the weight by over 80 kg compared with the previous Continental W12 and the vehicle proposes, for the first time in a production car, sidewalls entirely constructed through superforming processes, a precision engineering technique which requires working on aluminium heated to 500 degrees.
