VOLVO.
SAFETY FIRST
Volvo has made safety its key strength. It was the first car manufacturer to deliver a production vehicle - the PV544 on 13 August 1959 - with seatbelts, sharing the three-point patent developed by Nihls Boholin with all the other manufacturers. It has been calculated that, since then, three-point seatbelts have saved over a million human lives. But Volvo research in this field has never stopped. Volvo brought the new XC90 to the 2015 Padua show, the safest car in its history, a car that boasts luxury features and the most cutting-edge human-machine interface system in the automotive industry.
