Its strengths were (and still are) perfect aero-dynamicity and excellent power-to-weight ratio. Here are the elements which make the 1300 OT prototype one of Abarth's most powerful and exciting cars, and also one of the most exclusive, due to the select number of models manufactured from 1965 to 1968.
The model coming to Padua was produced in 1966 and bears frame number 0035. It is one of the very few to have been matriculated. M&L Classic Cars is bringing it to Padua, precisely to Pavilion 5. This car possesses a wonderful sporting history: it ran many uphill races all over Italy in the late 60s; in 1967, it took part in the Bologna-Raticosa with Villani at the wheel; in 1968, it ran at the Mugello circuit with Ferretti Pasini; it was involved in an accident at Vergato Cereglio and was also part of the Neptune stable.
Its motor recently underwent a full inspection.
