CAMET presents Pininfarina's absolute masterpiece in Padua.

As wide as a Buick, as low as a Grand Prix car, as comfortable as a Rolls Royce and as light as a single-seater: these were the specifications given to engineer Savonuzzi to create the Cisitalia 202 SC, a paradigmatic car of automobile history in which Pininfarina's design was so exceptional that it actually makes us overlook the technical-sporting qualities of the model, which, by the way, were nonetheless superb. A light racing car with a small 1089 cmc engine, the 202 SC was able to beat opponents with bigger engines. It immediately went down in the history of art, being exhibited in New York's Museum of Modern Art from 1951 with the title “moving sculpture”. The model being presented in Padua in 2018 dates back to 1947 and celebrates the 50th anniversary of “CAMET(the Tuscan Vintage Car and Motorbike Club), one of Italy's first ever clubs (1968) organising technical-cultural events of national and international standing, in Tuscany and in symbolic locations around Florence, to safeguard automobile history and raise awareness of the work to restore and preserve Italy's motoring heritage.
