The highly-awaited return of coachbuilders Registro Internazionale Touring Superleggera to Auto e Moto d'Epoca is upon us and they are bringing with them two highly-prestigious models.

Enthusiasts of prestigious limited-edition cars will be delighted to know that Registro Internazionale Touring Superleggera is returning to its stand in Pavilion 1 with two very interesting cars:  a FIAT 1500 6C - Berlinetta Superleggera and an Alfa Romeo 1900C Super Sprint – Superleggera. Interestingly, Touring also made some Superleggera Berlinetta models on FIAT 1500 B,C and D frames from 1937 to 1948. The first model on show in Padua dates back to 1939 and features the trademark "closed bow" with wide side openings which help to cool the motor. Fortunately, after years of being cast aside, this model was retrieved and refurbished in the second half of the 90s also thanks to Carlo Felice Bianchi Anderloni's input; subsequently, the car came first in its category at Elegance Competition at Kyoto 2018. The second model, the Alfa Romeo, is the second version of the successful AR 1900c Sprint and Supersprint series. The letter "C" stands for "Coachbuilders" and indicates a special frame with a shorter wheelbase than a saloon, purposely designed in collaboration with Carrozzeria Touring (Touring Coachbuilding) and entrusted to the skilful hands of the designers. The model on show, which has been almost entirely preserved and is in perfect condition, came second at the "Stelle della Versilia" competition in Lido di Camaiore (LU) on 15th June 2019.
