Despite the fact that the 2024 Exhibition is still a few months away, we already have the first anticipations of The World of Classics path, which this year will also play host to the MORETTI ENONSOLO Museum. This institution celebrates the contributions made by Giovanni Michelotti, the mind behind more than 5,000 projects, 1,200 of which have led to the construction of cars, and by Dany Brawand, who subsequently took on the role of design manager at MORETTI. Both are among the main designers of the cars produced by Moretti, which was the fourth biggest Italian car manufacturer during the Fifties, before becoming a coachbuilder in 1960.
The museum, which is located in Aigle, in Switzerland, guards numerous original drawings and drafts, as well as instruments such as the mock-up of a Ferrari 365 produced by Michelotti in the late 70s. The museum is also showcasing a collection of about thirty “custom-built” vehicles made with a Fiat chassis, cars that were already rare when brand new, made by small Turin coachbuilders, some of which are little known to both the general public and fans. Brands represented include ALLEMANO, BALDI, CANTA, SIATA, SCIONERI, VIGNALE, VIOTTI and of course MORETTI.
Watch this space to find out which car the museum will be exhibiting in its booth at the Auto e Moto d'Epoca Exhibition.
Once again, the Bologna Exhibition promises excitement for all: we look forward to seeing you at BolognaFiere from 24th to 27th October 2024.
