THE ART OF A FORGOTTEN WORLD

The heroic era of driving pilots are immortalised on Flavio Manzolini's canvasses showcasing in the Arts&Crafts section.

There was a time when men counted more than machines.  This was the time of adventurous pilots and heroic competitions. This was the time of the adrenaline rush of not knowing if you'd make it across the finish line. It is the most epic legend of all: Castellotti and Fangio's historic Mille Miglia, which took place in a world of pilots which really made the difference regardless of whether they had less powerful or inferior vehicles.

This is the subject of the paintings by Flavio Manzolini at Auto e Moto d'Epoca 2019. These images tell the story of a racing world which no longer exists - come and explore silk-screen printing, oil paintings and pencil-drawn designs (never computer-generated) dedicated to the legendary era of motors and the most beautiful race in the world.

Manzolini's most recent project is also dedicated to Mille Miglia's 20 years: a 2020 calendar depicting the victories of all the different car manufacturing houses between 1927 and 1957.
