One of the most famous entrepreneurial businesses in the 20th Century started out on 7th May 1963. Starring Ferruccio Lamborghini, a brilliant and daredevil entrepreneur, who demonstrated how it is still possible to amaze in a region such as Italy’s Emilia-Romagna, where Ferrari, Maserati and Ducati all started out over the course of just a few years.
Ferruccio established Lamborghini Trattori in 1948. It became one of the biggest agricultural machinery manufacturing companies at the time, but he was not satisfied. Legend has it that, after a historic quarrel with Enzo Ferrari during which the latter addressed Lamborghini saying “You worry about tractors, and I’ll take care of cars”, Ferruccio decided to set up his own car manufacturing business to create fast, beautiful and reliable cars. Development of the first Lamborghini car model began at the plant in Cento (FE) in 1963.
Today, 60 years after its establishment, Lamborghini continues to be an undisputed symbol of extreme technology, luxury, style and innovation on the supercar horizon.
For the occasion, the Lamborghini museum has been restyled, changing its name and renovating both its premises and its exhibitions. Inside, the exhibition entitled “THE FUTURE BEGAN IN 1963" has been set up, illustrating the history of the car make.
