What to look forward to in padua from 21st to 24th october 2021

The wheels have been set in motion for the 2021 edition of Auto e Moto d'Epoca. From 21st to 24th October 2021, the historic car event will return to Padua Fair's pavilions with exciting additions, starting from Motorsport d'Epoca (Vintage Motorsport), an industry on the rise which has garnered many enthusiasts. Another addition is Restomod - the branch which focuses on refurbishing classic cars, giving them a new lease of life while adding modern elements. So there you have it: two things to look forward to at the Fair dedicated which is dedicated to tradition, but which always has an eye to the future.

"Fun is one of passion's key ingredients. And what car is more fun to drive than a sportscar? Gran Turismo, rally cars and special models tend to be the most highly-anticipated at the fair. In 2021, the spotlight will shine brightly on them". These are the words Mario Carlo Baccaglini, organiser of Auto e Moto d'Epoca, Italy's number one historic car fair and one of the most renowned of its kind around the world, upon announcing one of the main changes we will see at the end of October at Padua Fair.

The 2021 edition of the fair, which takes up 11 pavilions and outdoor spaces, will have a special section dedicated to vintage motorsports: from barchettas and the so-called 'siluros' (lit. torpedoes) that raced before WW2 to the Formula vehicles, and from the Turismo racing car to the show stoppers of the international rallies in the 60s and 70s. Vintage collecting is gaining more and more traction among enthusiasts year after year.

But Motorsport will not be the only addition at the 2021 edition of Auto e Moto d'Epoca. The spotlight will also shine brightly on 'other' types of vintage cars: we're talking about Restomod and alternative energy sources. Restomod, one of the latest trends in the 'creative' restoration industry. It consists in taking vintage cars and equipping them with modern-day technology and style, in order to combine preservation and collecting with modern possibilities, allowing for continuity in the motor industry.

So these are some of the surprises that await audience and exhibitors in 2021.  “Auto e Moto d'Epoca is never the same" – says Mario Carlo Baccaglini - "Every edition marks an improvement in terms of quality, innovative solutions and exclusive throwbacks”. According to organisers, just like every great classic car out there, vintage cars and motorcycles always have something new to say. Telling their stories means celebrating tradition with an eye to the future.
