Pininfarina will be presenting its new programme to elevate classic cars at Auto Moto d’Epoca 2024: Pininfarina Classiche. An initiative aimed at enthusiasts and collectors of the brand, which underlines the company's commitment to the preservation and enhancement of its rich automotive and industrial heritage.
Pininfarina Classiche certifies - in the form of official certificates - the classic cars (including what are referred to as “youngtimers”) designed and produced in Pininfarina’s factories over the years for Fiat, Lancia, Peugeot, Alfa Romeo and other iconic Pininfarina models. In addition, to the delight of car enthusiasts, the Pininfarina Classiche programme is also available for classic Ferrari cars, in relation only to components designed and manufactured by Pininfarina.
The new service is made possible by a careful cataloguing process of the Pininfarina Historical Archive, which required about two years of inventory and cataloguing of materials, and the introduction of software specialising in the management of archives, using the advice of the Department of Historical Studies of the University of Turin.
Using the detailed information available, Pininfarina Classiche issues declarations of production specifications, such as the target market, model and type code, exterior colour, interior finishes, the date of departure from Pininfarina factories, as well as the engine and body numbers of the vehicle.
This, and much more, awaits you from 24th to 27th October at BolognaFiere.
