There's a world that collectors know very well: the spare parts market. Traders travel around Europe searching for lost gems which range from carburettors to gearwheels and panel clocks.
Over 600 national and international exhibitors congregate at Auto e Moto d'Epoca every year.
It is a gathering unlike any other. Wandering through Pavilions 7 and 8 in Padua (but also strolling under the colonnades of the trade's show main streets) is like immersing yourself in a fairytale-like treasure room. Vintage radios, license plates, registration certificates dating back to the 20th century, odometers, distributors, bolts, rims, signs and steering wheels... everything you can think of that would appear in a vintage car can be found here, from mechanical to electrical parts, interiors to documentation.
It's a spectacular sight even for people who don't have a vintage car to refurbish or improve due to the sheer number of models, vintage scale models, chromed emblems, gadgets and mementos. A colourful market where everyone can find something special to purchase.
