Passion for Vespas through 360 degrees for the 40th edition of the Auto e Moto d’Epoca Exhibition, which is set to be held from 26th to 29th October 2023 in its new venue at Bologna Fiere for the first time. In the unprecedented “Motorbike Exhibition” housed in exhibition hall 21 and dedicated entirely to classic two-wheelers, the Vespa Club d’Italia offers a singular retrospective on vintage models of toy pedal Vespas.
The initiative entitled “Cosa farai da grande? Guiderò la Vespa!” (What will you do when you grow up? I’ll ride a Vespa) aims to reassess and constantly underscore the value that the famous Italian scooter has claimed in the cultural and artistic field, appealing to every segment of the public without exception. Regardless of age, gender or background, the Vespa in fact has proven popular with all for more than 70 years.
Models that are set to delight collectors will be on show: from the French Guy to the Giordani, the Libellula and the Ferbedo and, travelling back in time, from the Kinderbaby to the PegPerego, including unique models which were used on village fairground rides. All embellished by panels with replicas of photos taken of young riders from the past, both riding their little Vespas and driving their life-size dream.
To engage with young visitors and allow them to approach the world of Vespas from the get-go, a small circuit will be included, where 'young promises' will get the chance to have fun and give free rein to their imagination riding their toy Vespas.
This initiative aims to introduce even the younger generations to the world of vintage cars and motorbikes, gifting joyful moments not just to adults but also to children as they visit the exhibition halls. At the end of each 'Grand Prix', every participant will get a prize and a reward. This, and much more, will be organised and presented in the Vespa Club d'Italia booth.
