From the great challenges of endurance racing to historical recreations in miniature, Auto e Moto d\u2019Epoca has plenty of surprises in store for model-making enthusiasts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udd39 Twelve spectacular 1:8-scale models<\/strong> dedicated to endurance racing cars will be displayed alongside Icons of Speed<\/em>, the major themed exhibition devoted to this category. The models include the Lancia LC2, winner of the 1985 1,000 km of Spa; the Porsche 935\/78 Moby Dick; the Porsche 956, winner of the 1983 24 Hours of Le Mans; the Mazda 787B, which won Le Mans in 1991; and the Porsche 917 K, winner of the 1971 12 Hours of Sebring. The selection also features more recent models, including the Porsche 919 Hybrid, winner at Le Mans in 2016, the 2020 Toyota TS050 Hybrid and the 2025 Alpine A424.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udd39 A collector\u2019s item by Spark:<\/strong> a 1:43-scale Lancia LC1, produced exclusively for Auto e Moto d\u2019Epoca in a limited run of just a few dozen examples. The model celebrates the car that won at Mugello in 1982, which is on display in the Icons of Speed<\/em> exhibition. It will be available exclusively at the Spark stand in Bologna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udd39 Le Mans 1970 recreated with slot cars:<\/strong> GasgoRing, the slot-car section of the Associazione Modellismo & Storia di Pontassieve e Guastalla, presents a historical recreation of the paddock and cars from the 24 Hours of Le Mans held on 13 and 14 June 1970, the edition featured in the famous film starring Steve McQueen. The diorama recreates part of the pit lane, complete with garages, advertising panels, technical buildings and figures, all brought together through meticulous historical research. The starting grid is frozen in time, as it would have appeared 15 minutes before the start.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udd39 Laudoracing<\/strong> will welcome visitors at Hall 29, stand E4, with previews and prototypes of upcoming releases in 1:18, 1:12 and 1:64 scales, developed using digital scans of real cars. Among them is the rare Alfa Romeo Alfasud Valentino, displayed at the Epocauto magazine stand alongside Laudoracing\u2019s 1:18-scale model reproducing the car. The real car also features on the cover of the magazine\u2019s October issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, turning to motoring publications, the latest issues of Di Brutto Montami<\/strong> will be available in Hall 25. The publication explores model making and technical culture with humour and an unconventional style, celebrating the pleasure of building models in miniature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
