The 500cc Grand Prix Bikes Arrive at Auto e Moto d’Epoca

A selection of around twenty GP bikes, mainly 500cc two-strokes, will bring some of the rarest World Championship motorcycles to Bologna, machines that are particularly difficult to find and see in person.

Among the highlights of Auto e Moto d’Epoca 2026 will be Best Bikes Garage, a group of enthusiasts who have brought together a selection of some of the finest Grand Prix motorcycles from the past.

The exhibition will bring around twenty two-stroke GP bikes to Bologna, with a selection made up mainly of 500cc machines, alongside a number of 250cc bikes and other smaller-displacement motorcycles. The aim is to bring to Auto e Moto d’Epoca a selection of Grand Prix 500s, motorcycles that have not been seen for many years and are particularly difficult to find.

Among the highlights will be the Cagiva 500, together with the last two Paton 500s to have raced in the World Championship. Also on display will be Kevin Schwantz’s Suzuki 500, as well as Lucio Pedercini’s Yamaha.

The selection will also include a Suter 500, which never raced in the World Championship but represents the last two-stroke of its kind ever built. It is a motorcycle that many enthusiasts have probably never had the opportunity to see in person.

The exhibition aims to be a must-see event for Grand Prix motorcycle enthusiasts, particularly thanks to the opportunity to see rare and hard-to-find motorcycles in person, brought together in a selection dedicated to the great protagonists of the past.
