Icons of Speed: Auto e Moto d’Epoca 2026 Celebrates the Legendary Cars of Endurance Racing

From the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans to the icons of the FIA World Endurance Championship, discover more than fifty years of innovation, speed and engineering excellence that have shaped the history of motorsport.

For the 2026 edition, Auto e Moto d’Epoca presents Icons of Speed, a major exhibition dedicated to the fascinating world of endurance racing.

The exhibition will guide visitors through more than half a century of endurance racing history, one of the disciplines that has contributed most to the technical and sporting evolution of the automobile. From the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans to iconic international races such as the Nürburgring, Monza and Daytona, and up to the modern FIA World Endurance Championship, the exhibition explores how endurance racing has served as a laboratory for innovation, where reliability, performance and technological research have continuously pushed the boundaries of automotive engineering.

Twelve extraordinary cars will be displayed in the Via Costituzione entrance pavilion, while additional vehicles will be showcased throughout the exhibition grounds, creating a journey that celebrates the machines which have defined different eras of endurance racing.

Confirmed highlights include true motorsport legends such as the Bentley EXP Speed 8 (3rd overall at the 2001 24 Hours of Le Mans), the Sauber C9 (winner of the 1989 World Sportscar Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans), and the Porsche 956 Rothmans, one of the most iconic Group C racing cars in history. These exceptional vehicles come from the Nationales Automuseum – The Loh Collection.

Other confirmed exhibits include the Lancia LC2, the Italian prototype developed to compete at the highest level of the World Endurance Championship during the 1980s; the Maserati MC12 Corsa; and the extremely rare Bugatti EB110 Le Mans, a unique prototype built specifically for the French endurance classic.

Beyond their extraordinary collector value, the vehicles featured in Icons of Speed showcase the technological legacy of endurance racing, from advances in aerodynamics and innovative materials to engine development and electronic performance management.
