The Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 GT and Ferrari 166 MM Barchetta Touring: two cars with extraordinary histories, on display to celebrate the centenary of the Milanese coachbuilder.
To mark the centenary of Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera, the Registro aims to pay tribute to Enzo Ferrari, whose career evolved from working as a test driver and managing the racing team at Alfa Romeo to building cars under his own name.
Carrozzeria Touring accompanied this journey, first at Alfa Romeo, the House of the Biscione, and later by designing the bodywork for the very first Ferraris.
At the Registro’s stand in Hall 25, Stand 17B, visitors will be able to admire two iconic examples of the Milanese coachbuilder’s design heritage.
Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 GT Berlinetta Aerodinamica Tipo Mille Miglia
Built by Carrozzeria Touring in 1931 using the Weymann system, this car is the only surviving example of just two (or possibly three) vehicles of this type. Never restored, it has covered just 24,000 km since its construction. In 1933, it competed in the Mille Miglia, finishing first in its class and 17th overall. Since 2021, it has been part of the Marx Collection and, in the same year, took second place in the class for unrestored cars at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
Ferrari 166 MM Barchetta Touring (Chassis No. 0064M)
A design statement by Carrozzeria Touring, this car embodies the Anglo-Saxon principle of “less is more”. Unveiled at the 1948 Turin Motor Show, it captured Giovanni Agnelli’s imagination, inspiring him to commission an exclusive specification: a two-tone metallic green and blue livery, an elongated bonnet, a modified grille, natural leather upholstery and no convertible top.
The car combines the purity of its lines with Ferrari’s mechanical innovation, featuring a 2-litre V12 engine designed by Gioacchino Colombo, producing 140 hp and paired with a five-speed gearbox.
Both cars will be on display at the Registro’s stand in Hall 25, Stand 17B, during Auto e Moto d’Epoca 2026.
